On the 80 foot cenotaph, dedicated to Marie O'Donnell Browne, are a number of plaques with inscriptions in English, French and Irish. This one reads "To Beauty and Innocence"
The French inscription--"A Marie et a l'amour, par son cher époux, Dodwell" (or "To Marie and to love, from her beloved husband, Dodwell")
The Irish inscription--“This is to your memory my friend. Oh, my loyal beloved, gone forever, your presence forever lost to me” (translation)
Stone corbels such as this once supported the loft of the stable block
